Kite photography at the BIG Event

I ended up doing a whole bunch of sessions at the BIG Event last week, but undoubtedly the most fun was a bunch of us pratting around with a range of demos outdoors. My bit, with Elin, involved dangling my mobile phone off a kite in a valiant attempt to take a group photo. We failed, but somehow that ends up being less important than the attempt.

Brilliant :) Really wish I’d come along.

Will you try it with a home-made straw kite next year or are they not stable enough? I was quite impressed with how stable the camera was in the second film as I’d have imagined it to have been swinging about wildly but it looks like it was very well rigged up. Which, come to think of it, doesn’t come as a surprise actually!
