Recycling an aircraft carrier

The French Navy have retired their former flagship, aircraft carrier Clemenceau. It’s heading to Teesside to be broken up, and the steel will be… recycled. Yes, they’re recycling an aircraft carrier.

Not clear what they’re going to do with the 700 tonnes of asbestos, though.
